Something to finish off Summer 2014!
I've been quite busy lately, working on various projects, so it's about time I shared a couple. The first one was Holy Trinity Church in Bickerstaffe (acrylic on mounted canvas), which - although a very ornate building with lots of carvings - wasn't too difficult to paint; actually, the trouble with this one was, the church is on a curving road and it's not easy to get far enough away from it to get a good perspective!
The second one was much closer to home - literally! I've lived at the same address for nearly thirty years and have never got round to painting it, so (for my parents' wedding anniversary) I took on the challenge. Probably the most interesting bit was doing the plants; it looked very plain and "boring" before I started on those.
