PATERNAL 3xGREAT-GRANDPARENTS

WILLIAM HALSALL

Birth: about 1827, Burscough or Halsall, Lancashire

Baptism: unknown date and location

Father: John Halsall

Death: 29 June 1901, Aughton, Lancashire

Notes: When William married, he stated that his father was a labourer named John Halsall, but gave no indication about whether his father was alive or dead. William’s age varies on the census records (giving an overall birth year range of 1825 to 1832), and differing information is given about his birthplace; the 1851 and 1871 records favour Halsall, whereas the 1861, 1881, 1891 and 1901 records favour Burscough.

To date, I have been unable to locate a baptism record for a William Halsall born between 1825 and 1832 with a father named John.
